My initiation into astrology began in 1982 while on a visit to Oregon, USA, where I first heard astrology discussed intelligently on a public radio broadcast. My interest was piqued enough to begin what has become a life-long exploration of the subject.

I studied first with the Faculty of Astrological Studies of London through correspondence courses, eventually traveling to London to complete my education. After passing the Faculty's Diploma exams in 1990 I began practising and teaching astrology in Nova Scotia. For ten years I tutored the Faculty's correspondence courses myself, guiding over 150 North American students through the various levels of astrology courses.

My passion for astrology is coupled with a longstanding interest in all topics related to religion and spirituality. I have a BA in Religious Studies from Saint Mary's University in Halifax, where I now teach courses in religion and culture, and an MA in Religion and Modernity from Queen's University with a focus on contemporary astrology.
